Hyper Pet Tweeter Ball Review (with pictures)

Well, we ordered the Hyper Pet Tweeter Ball a few weeks ago from doggyloot.  We received 2 of them and immediately tried them out.  There is only 1 ball motivated dog in the house so he is the one that got them, he happens to be the biggest chewer in the house as well.  If you have never shopped at doggyloot click here to get $5 off your first purchase.

Product Description: A ball that tweets as it flies through the air. There are 12 offset whistles that makes the ball tweet. It can be used with Hyper Pet ball launchers.


What we thought:

• If your dog chews, don't leave it alone with this ball... we are down to one ball
• It doesn't tweet as loud as we thought it would, maybe if we had the ball launcher
• It keeps him interested and he can definitely hear it
• Overall, we like it for a throwing ball ONLY for us.  It may work better for others if your dog isn't a piranha like ours.

Another Sample of Milk Bone Trail Mix

We received another sample of Milk Bone Trail mix - still haven't seen it in the stores.  I signed up for this a while ago and this is my other post reviewing the treats from my other sample.

I'm wondering how long these treats were sitting around since the flyer that came with it says "Look for them where you buy Milk Bone dog treats Coming to stores near you in April 2012."  Considering it's July now, and the treats in the package were a bit crumby and not as nice looking as the other sample I was a bit disappointed to say the least.

Milk Bone Trail Mix Review

I received a sample of the Milk Bone Trail Mix in the mail (registered for it here)


The Trail Mix is almost impossible to find in stores around where I am.  Tampa isn't small, so it can't be that. The treats themselves, the dogs liked them, but they also swallowed them whole because they are soooooo small.  


Overall,I will pass on these.  I think they need to start offering these in larger sizes.  If you have a tiny dog, these will be great for you, but any dog over 5 lbs will probably swallow these whole.


I also find it odd that the coupons included weren't even for milk bone dog biscuits, usually when companies send out samples they send out matching coupons to go with that product, not the case here.

Kong Dog Toys Review

First up is the Kong Classic

Now, I know that the toy seems simple and not very exciting for dogs but you can do so much with this one toy and it will provide your dog with mental stimulation and keep them busy for quite a while depending on what you do with it.  They may be a bit pricey in the big box stores, but you can get the large size on Amazon for around $8.50.  Not a bad investment for something that is practically indestructible.  

I have a rottweiler mix and a lab mix, so they are definitely big chewers and can destroy pretty much any toy out there.  They have yet to tear one of these apart.  One of my favorite things to do with this is to put some peanut butter in a glass measuring cup and put it in the microwave a few seconds until it is a bit thinner and easy to pour. Then I put some kibble or treats in the kong and then pour the peanut butter over the kibble.  I usually place the kong in a plastic bag, with the larger hole up then put it in the freezer for a few hours and then I give it to the pups.  It keeps them busy for quite a while.

Kong Wobbler

The kong wobbler is relatively new, it sells for about $20 in Petco or Petsmart, but you can get it on Amazon for about $14.  I have the large one and you can put a cup of food in it at a time, so mine only can get half of their dinner at a time in it, the other half goes in the bowl.  It takes them a good 10 minutes to get it all out and provides them with mental stimulation to keep them happy and more manageable and helps relieve boredom.

Kong Genius Leo

I only have the Kong Genius Leo, I haven't gotten the others, I wanted to see if mine could figure out one genius toy and enjoy it before adding more to it.  They do enjoy it, I put treats in it sometimes kibble, but the kibble is too easy for them to get out since the pieces are small.  They do enjoy playing with it so I will probably add more.




I think all of these of toys are a great investment for both you and your dogs and will help provide environmental enrichment which has many benefits for both you and your dog.  You can read about it more HERE.
