Humane Society of Pinellas VS TS Debby
Recovery & Preparation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Date (CLEARWATER, FL):  Monday, June 25, 2012

The Humane Society of Pinellas has felt the damage from Tropical Storm Debby!  Staff and volunteers have been soaked to the bone for the last 24 hours keeping up with the rain and winds as they batter the 63 year old shelter AT 3040 SR 590 in Clearwater.  The animals are all safe; wet and crowded but safe and sound!

As we watch TS Debby, staff and volunteers are working together during this calm to prepare for whatever may come next.  We would like to encourage adoptions today and tomorrow (June 25 & 26); mention ‘Debby’ and get $25 off your adoption fee on any pet!

Not able to commit to pet ownership at this time?  Consider fostering!  A foster home can offer a dry safe place for adoptable pets during stormy conditions, provide a temporary home during recover of a medical procedure or allow for a home environment for a litter of puppies or a nursing mom.  Find out more at foster@humanepinellas.org.

This is a reminder that we are in hurricane season: are you prepared to care for your pets properly?
