We are a member of pinchme.com which is a site where you select samples to receive from top brands every month.   It's pretty awesome, you receive products in exchange for your reviews.   If you are interested just head on over to pinchme.com and sign up.  The boxes take 4-6 weeks to arrive, but hey, it's free so you really can't complain.  These are some of the things we got last month.

     

We received so Unisom gels, some Iams hairball treats, a Pedigree Dentastix, and Muse wet cat food.

The hairball treats have been a hit for the world's pickiest cat.  If only we were kidding, she doesn't eat certain shapes and colors of cat food and she won't just eat what she's left when she's hungry enough she would rather starve to death.  She's actually that picky.  She does however gobble these down and we haven't had any hairballs which is a plus because if there is going to be a hairball it's at 3 AM and it's on the carpet.

The Muse cat food was also a hit.  She's not normally a big wet food fan, like we said she's picky but she did gobble the whole thing down and it's a good size for just one cat.  Especially if said cat won't eat cold wet food.

Now it doesn't look as good as what it does in the advertisement, but advertisements always look better so we will chalk it up to that.   If you have a super sensitive nose and you don't like cat food smells you probably won't like this.  Pregnant mamas take notice.

RECALL ALERT: Pedigree Wet Dog Food Limited Recall

While I am not a fan of Pedigree, I know some people do feed it so I want to make sure people are aware of this.

Pedigree has announced a limited recall of Pedigree Wet Dog food.

Mars Petcare US announced a voluntary recall of a limited range of three varieties of PEDIGREE® weight management canned dog food products due to a potential choking risk.

Affected product may contain small pieces of blue plastic, which entered the food during the production process. The source of the plastic has been identified and the issue resolved. We encourage consumers who have purchased affected product to discard the food or return it to the retailer for a full refund or exchange. While a small number of consumers have reported finding the plastic pieces, we have not received any reports of injury or illness associated with the affected product. The lot codes indicated below should not be sold or consumed.

Affected product was distributed to retail customers throughout the United States. Mars Petcare US is working with all of our distributors and retail customers to ensure that the recalled products are no longer sold and are removed from inventory.

Recalled Pet Food Only cans of PEDIGREE® weight management canned dog food varieties with the production codes shown below are included in this voluntary recall. Each product will have a lot code printed on the end of the can that begins with 209, 210, 211 or 212 and a Best Before date that falls between 2/24/2014 and 3/23/2014.
